Barbacoa Beef Tacos
Perfect for any party platter! This recipe allows you to be in control of the final outcome. Choose your favorite beer and make it your own!

Ingredients

  • (1) Arm Roast
  • (12 ounces) Can of Beer - your favorite
  • (1 medium) Yellow Onion, quartered
  • (2 Tbsp) Taco Seasoning
  • (A Pinch) Sea salt
  • (A Pinch) Black Pepper
  • (1 Tbsp) White Vinegar
  • (3) Bay Leaves
  • (1 Tbsp) Garlic, minced
  • (10-12) Tortilla Shells
  • (As Desired) Cheese, Lettuce, Cilantro, Salsa, Guacamole, Etc.

Directions

Barbacoa Beef Tacos

  1. Thaw the roast in the refrigerator. This may take up to 2 days.
  2. Once it is thawed, gather your ingredients and your slow cooker.
  3. Pour the contents of the beer into the slow cooker.
  4. Remove roast from plastic and discard any bone guards. 
  5. Place the roast into the slow cooker and then season with salt, pepper, and taco seasoning. 
  6. Next, add the garlic, vinegar, bay leaves and quartered onion to the slow cooker. 
  7. Cover with lid and cook on low for 6-8 hours. 
  8. Once tender enough to flake with a fork, remove the bay leaves and place the meat onto a platter. 
  9. Flake with a fork and serve with any additional toppings.
